In 2020, when the Texas State Fair was shutdown due to COVID-19, the City of Burleson started a month long contest between 20 participating Burleson restaurants to submit their culinary creations inspired by the flavors of State Fair foods. The winning dish would be decided by the Burleson citizens’ popular vote. We are proud to say we have won all five years of this contest - 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. We want to thank our customers and friends for this amazing achievement, and making us an award winning establishment!

Ruthie Murry is a professional pastry chef, born and raised in Burleson, TX. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University-Denver. Johnson & Wales is well known for its great chefs and has many celebrity chef alumni, including Emeril Lagasse and Aaron Sanchez. Baking is Ruthie’s passion and she continues her education by attending baking seminars regularly. Her dream has always been to open her own bakery in her hometown of Burleson and she is excited to serve her community for many years to come.
Jarod Murry grew up in Crowley, TX, from Deer Creek Elementry to Crowley High School and graduated from UTA with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Criminology. He has always enjoyed cooking and after tasting one of Ruthie’s cookies (Chocolate Chip Oatmeal), he married her and threw his full support behind her and her dream of opening a bakery in her hometown. He believes in always shopping and supporting local small businesses.
